In October, 2006 the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural
Affairs announced funding for the Greater Peterborough Area
Economic Development Corporation to assist our region’s
manufacturing sector. Funding in the amount of 750,000 is
available to directly assist the local manufacturing industry.
What Does It Mean to YOU? If you are a manufacturing member of
the Kawartha Manufacturers Association with operations in
Peterborough City/County, City of Kawartha Lakes or Haliburton,
$500,000 is available for third-party employee training in
skills that are transferable and portable to other
manufacturers within the Peterborough City/County, City of
Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton region.
